Achtung! Even though this screencast has received several nice reviews, Techmic Studios is currently working on the remake of this screencast, which will cover more topics and have higher quality video and audio. Stay tuned for updates!
Throughout this screencast, a web page is created completely in HTML 5. This page implements some of the major blocks by using brand-new elements that were introduced in HTML 5.

Work on HTML 5, which started in 2004, is currently being carried out by a joint effort between the W3C and the WHATWG. Many key players are participating in the W3C effort, including four major browser vendors: Apple, Mozilla, Microsoft, and Opera. While it is true that HTML 5 is a work in progress and is going to stay that way for some time, there’s no reason not to start using it right now to get an edge on competition.
This screencast will give you insight into HTML 5 as well as CSS3 to help ease the pain that comes with transitioning to the new syntax. Also, two of the most popular microformats are described: hAtom and hCard.
This screencast is available for downloading in several formats: QuickTime or WMV format for a computer and QuickTime format in lower resolution for an iPhone or iPod so it can be watched any time. Also, the example website that is made during the screencast is available for downloading.
